BVMC, CMC, Vellore hosted the Centre for Cochrane a world leader in the production of gold standard systematic reviews as Cochrane South Asia. The South Asian Cochrane Network was initially started the Australasian Network of the Cochrane Collaboration in the year 2004 and an independent Centre status of the Cochrane was given during the Year 2012.
Cochrane South Asia functioned as one among 14 independent centre’s of Cochrane, an international organization of individuals and institutions that seeks to help healthcare providers, policy makers, patients, their families, advocates and others make well-informed decisions about health care by preparing, updating and promoting the accessibility of Cochrane Systematic Reviews.
We the Centre of Cochrane were involved in training healthcare professionals of the region to become active Cochrane contributors especially for the healthcare professional from SAARC countries with the Cochrane methodologies in the development of Cochrane Systematic Reviews.
